New Installation Rules

If you already have Steelcalc installed and the version is Pre Steelcalc 6.3.22 then your current installation is a Per User installation meaning that only one person can use Steelcalc on the same machine, that user also required Administrator rights to enable Steelcalc to be loaded on that user desktop. The latest Steelcalc Steelcalc 6.3.22 and above allows you to install Steelcalc as a Per Machine installation meaning everyone on that machine will have access to Steelcalc.

How to remove the Per User version of Steelcalc

You will need to uninstall Steelcalc which will remove the Per User installation. When installing any Steelcalc above and including 6.3.22 the default will be a Per Machine installation. Please note that your licences will be unregistered when you remove Steelcalc and also all your previous settings will be lost so make sure that you make a backup of your files.

Administrator Permissions

Administrator permissions will be required to install Steelcalc but you do not need to have administrator rights on your windows account.

The Steelcalc software functions without the need of administrator rights.
